Our Lady of Mercy Cub Scout Pack 12
We invite all 1st - 5th grade boys to join the adventures of Cub Scouting! During fun activities, outdoor adventures, and community service projects, Scouts learn and live the values of the Scout Law - to be trustworthy, loyal, helpful, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent. These values are a part of everything we do in Cub Scouts, but our main goal is to instill them while having FUN!
Kids grow up so fast, and its important to really value these years. Cub Scouting is some of the best time spent with your son. Most of our Scouts are involved in multiple sports and other extra-curricular activities, but there's nothing like Scouting for making lasting memories. Unlike sports where parents watch from the sideline, or Boy Scouts where the boys are older and more independent, Cub Scouting allows moms and dads to spend lots of quality time working on adventures together.
Our Pack is made up of several dens (groups of 6-8 boys of the same age/grade). Dens meet a couple times per month at times designated by Den leaders (in consultation with parents). The entire Pack usually meets on the 4th Sunday of each month for fun and awards.
Of course, there is no “Scouting” without “outing." We usually plan several fun, family campouts and outings at places such as: Our Lady of Mercy Football Field (a great, optional overnighter to acclimate new scouts to camping); Avondale Scout Reservation in Clinton, LA; Audubon Zoo in New Orleans; Space Center Houston; New Orleans Zephyr Field; USS Kidd; Tunica Hills; and others.
Cub Scout Pack 12 is a Boy Scouts of America Unit chartered by Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church and is a part of the Boy Scouts of America Istrouma Area Council (211), Sewell-Eagle District (14).

Boy Scouts of America is one of the Nation's largest and most prominent values-based youth development organizations. The BSA provides a program for young people that builds character, trains them in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and develops personal fitness.
For over a century, the BSA has helped build the future leaders of this country by combining educational activities and lifelong values with fun. The Boy Scouts of America believes — and, through over a century of experience, knows — that helping youth is a key to building a more conscientious, responsible, and productive society.
Troop 12 is a part of the Boy Scout Istrouma Area Council Tunica District:
