Traditions for Tomorrow

Professional Development

Never satisfied with “good enough,” our teachers regularly engage in professional learning opportunities to enhance their instruction and hone their craft.  Mercy teachers regularly attend professional development workshops on OLOM’s campus to learn strategies and tools for maximizing learning in the classroom.  Some workshops are led by experts from outside the OLOM community; some workshops are led by the expert teachers who grace the OLOM faculty.  Through the generosity and support from our parents and parishioners, teachers are able to attend annual conferences and training sessions on best practices in education relating to teaching methods, classroom management strategies, assessment forms and techniques, and social and emotional development.
