MISSION AND GOALS:
The mission and goals of the OLOM School Library are in accordance with the standards and guidelines set forth in Standards and Guidelines For Library Media Programs In Louisiana Schools. Our mission is to provide the resources and materials as well as instruction in their use, which will support and enhance the instructional program of the school and serve the needs of the school community. Our goal is to establish and maintain a collection with a wide range of educational materials on all levels of difficulty, with diversity of appeal, allowing for the presentation of many points of view.
Kindergarten and first grade students are allowed to check out one book. Second through eighth grade students are allowed to check out two books. This limit can be changed for special projects.
